Are these eggs fertilized?

That's awesome, I am really happy. :) The first egg is from my favorite hen. :) The first egg is definitely from today, the second one though might be from yesterday as I found it in the coop very early in the morning and it was completely chilled. So since the first one is fertilized with certainty, I don't have to check these anymore before the incubation and I will try and snap a picture of a fresh egg from the second hen as soon as she will lay one - might be tomorrow.
That’s exactly what I done. I checked a couple, then put 9 in the incubator, candled on day 3 (it’s supposed to be day 7 but I was to impatient) and I could see little veins forming, all 9 were fertile 👍

Congrats!
Yep, you can start setting now. The worst that could happen is you have a few infertile eggs.

Very cool! I haven't actually started collecting the eggs yet, this was just an experimental check-up to see whether they are already fertilized. :) But now that I know this hen has fertilized eggs, I can collect eggs from her knowing they will be fertile. I will just wait until I will know with certainty that the other hen has fertilized eggs as well and then I will start with the collecting.

It takes 24 hours for the rooster sperm to make contact in the ovary area.

Young roosters do miss the target and get it all over the feathers.

Hi there, I am completely new to this, first time I am checking whether the yolk is fertilized or not. I've got a rooster recently and I think it is still too soon, but I just wanted to check out of curiosity and maybe see what an unfertilized egg looks like. What I found out though, is that the two eggs from today from two different hens look different - does that mean that one is fertilized, or are they both not fertilized yet and I am just not seeing it? :)
I also think they are fertilised due to the tiny white dot in the middle.

Hi there, so I cracked open a fresh egg that was laid roughly 2 hours ago by the second hen, and here are two pictures of it - to me, it still looks the same as the egg from two days ago - what do you think?
