Are these eggs okay to eat?

So...I heard one of my hens making a racket and she was out of the pen like she always is (her and 1 other are the only two who leave the pen...), and I saw her walk out of the tall grass right by their coop. Then I found FIVE eggs! Ugh. Obviously she's been laying out there, probably since we got her! I only got these chickens last Saturday, so the oldest these eggs are are 6 days old. They were all cold today, so I have no idea which is the newest...are these eggs okay to eat, or will they be spoiled?

Oh, and it's been getting hot unfortunately. It has been in the 80s all week, and today got up past 90...

I *do* know that if the temp stays mild you can...but here it's been in the 70s. Sneaky chickens!

You can try an egg float rest to see if they're okay to eat. If they sink in water they're good, if they float they're bad. That's what I've heard at least.

Ugh, I had the same problems with my chickens. They laid a whole nest full under my back bushes. It was hot, and they were all at least two weeks old. One was starting to brown I tossed them all. I'm super picky about the quality of my eggs, so I wouldn't eat them, but you can float them and try and see if they are any good.

Float test x3. What i usually do is if any are just starting to float, tipping up in the water instead of laying flat, I hard boil those. They peel super easy. If the float at the top toss them, give them to the dog,cat or the chickens. The sinkers can be put in the fridge as usual.

Thanks! I did the float test and they all easily passed!! Dh and dd ate them this morning for breakfast and they smelled/tasted perfect!
