Are these eggs viable? They hatched!!!

My peahen sat on her eggs for 3 nights. Last night she abandoned the nest and flew up in the trees to sleep with her peacock boyfriends (bad mommy) the eggs were outside in 50 degree weather with a very slight drizzle.

My question is, is it worth it for me to go buy an incubator? Or ar the eggs duds now?

It s always worth a shot!!! The only thing you will be losing is a little electricity and time. Go for it.

Yes well, (I hate to admit this) I don't have an incubator, so there's no sense in me purchasing one if the eggs won't hatch.

I bought an incubator and the eggs are hatching so they eggs were viable!

Just waiting for a few more to hatch.

you may want to put some marbles or rocks in the water. The babies could drown and that would be really sad.

I have a chick hatching today from an egg I found in the 30's, almost frozen. So yeah cold doesn't necessarily kill them...
