She left another today… should I let them collect a few and let Goose sit? Or keep taking them until the incubator is full
The concerns…
#1 Goose or even Willy could sit on an egg prior to them having a batch together and accidentally start incubation. Which will kill the embryo when Goose gets up and leaves it.
#2 Goose may be too young and not know what to do. Which would mean several eggs could be wasted if they’re left out for too long.
#3 If the eggs are wasted, that’s $ that could have been made selling the eggs or chicks. Which would mean longer to get an incubator.
OR… fill up the incubator (4 more slots left) and let them have the rest of the eggs for the season.
