Are these emu eggs fertile? Hatchalong

Pics
Opened the 12/26 eggs. They both had embryos, one further along than the other. Some may find this gross, sorry if it bothers anyone. This stuff doesn’t bother me in the least. It’s when it’s a fully formed ready to hatch chick that breaks my heart.

The first egg had a tiny embryo smaller than a quarter. Maybe a week or two into incubation before it died? The second had a bigger embryo that looked to be 3 weeks ish or more? It definitely made it much further.

Are you sure your temps are not getting too hot?

She’s correct. Right around the time the more developed embryo died, is when the incubator went WAY past ok temps. Cold egg was placed next to the temp sensor in the incubator.

With the cabinet it’s been much much butter at holding temps and humidity. Yes butter.
