Elkhounds
Chirping
I am thinking these are fully feathered but would like some opinions. They are 5 1/2 weeks old. Been off the heat inside for a few days. The heat was keeping the one side at low 70's for the last week it was on. They have been spending some of the days outside but I still have them in at night.
We (souther WI) are supposed to have some upper 20's yet this week for lows. I have no extra heat in their coop. Coop is 4x4 as seen in picture below. There are also 3 nesting boxes to the side. Total coop is 4x5.
Run is about 90 sq/feet and ready for them (except the roof is not on the run yet.
I want to move them outside but thinking it may be too cold with those temps. Any thoughts after seeing these chicks. My plan would be to leave them in the coop for 3-4 days before letting them out in the run. We have had them in the run a few times because that is the only place we had for them outside.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
