Are these good birds

ISA Browns are great layers, as that is what they were bred for. I don't have any, so I can't tell you if they are good people birds (of course, this can vary between individuals).

ISA browns are AMAZING layers. A. MA. ZING. I get eggs every day from mine, usually larger than my white leghorn eggs. Mine aren't exactly snuggly, but that may be because I got them as adults. They are not too skittish, not too loud, not at all aggressive.

I have ISA browns and about 35 BSLs. They are my favorite. The ISAs are bred for extreme egg production, So be prepared to have an egg almost every day. Because of that, unfortunately they only have a lifespan of 3 to 5 years, since all the laying takes an exponential toll on their bodies... but with excellent care can live past 5 in some cases. My BSLs are beautiful and such good natured girls... they are cuddle bugs (most of them), prolific egg layers with laid back personalities. Their lifespan is usually a little longer, around 5 to 8 years with proper care. Both breeds are hybrid sex linked chickens.... your ISAs are a combo of RIR Roo and a white leghorn hen. The BSLs are a combo of RIR roo and barred rock hen.

Great info thanks so much!
