So my silkie is 1 year as my whole flock. Shes my only silkie and the rest are standard hens all different breeds. She started laying last year and then winter came and she stopped. I thought she started laying again but these eggs are way bigger than the ones before. I thought they were my BO but there too small and very light colored.

Top row are the silkie eggs and bottom row are my standards. In my hand are the silkie eggs

That is interesting. I noticed that my bird's eggs kind of evolved after a hard winter as well. Although they are larger, I do believe that your silkie got a little more mature, and her eggs got larger.

I get large eggs from some of my silkies, & they're never that large.

It is possible they maybe from your silkie, but do you have any other breeds that lay that color?
my BO sometimes lays a pale color but today I got one of her eggs which were darker and so she couldn't have late a second one that's lighter. 4 brown eggs from 3 breeds n the bottom row of the picture. Austalorp, 2 Plymouth, and my BO, I have a green egger ut she lays green eggs. My silkie is the only one who could have laid those. And she's very tiny like a dwarf haha.

I have a Silkie pullet the same size you described, & she lays extra small eggs.

I have a Buff Orpington who lays lightly tinted eggs, same with one of my Heritage Plymouth Barred Rocks.

Those eggs must hurt alittle coming out. Poor girl.
