When you read the directions for dosing on a bottle of goat wormer (or horse wormer or dog or cat wormer)it is for a goat (horse, dog, cat) not a bird. You need to know the mg per pound for a chicken not a goat. Goats, horses, dog, chickens, turkeys etc all have different dose requirements. You must know the mg in the goat wormer per ml and how many mg per pound the bird needs. Then how many ml of goat wormer that would be for the bird.
Have the stool checked for coccidia if the proper dose of dewormer does not solve the issue. Coccidia are not worms so they have a different medication. Tapeworms need a different dewormer from the roundworm species. The only one that really works accurately in water is the coccidia medication, amprolium, labeled for birds . The rest are best given on a per bird basis for accuracy in order to be effective and not overdose the bird and possibly kill it.
