Are these REALLY Barred Rocks??

I'm not sure what breed this hen is but if she mated with a barred rock I think it would look like your chicken. The face is sooo similiar.

Pretty bird. If it had a little red on it's breast I would have said, Black sex link, but it's not that and it is NOT a BR.

She looks a lot like my girl, Betty, at that age. I was told she is a BA but I'm not 100% sure. Betty dwarfed my SLW roo, who is the same age, back then but now, at 20 weeks, he is a little bit bigger than she. Betty is a real beauty now. Her feathers have a gorgeous green sheen to them and she is so soft she feels like silk. She is a sweetie pie too, I hope your girl is as sweet!

Keep us updated on her as she molts and changes, I'd love to watch her grow.

Hijacking for just a minute, sorry. Hey Mahoni, Betty has a little bit of reddish brown on her breast that didn't show up until she was a couple of months old. Do sex links get that green sheen like BAs do?
