Are these Rhode Island Red chicks?

We took these 2 chicks from a family who didn't want to keep them any longer. The family said the feed shop that they bought them from said they were "Rhode Island Reds". They seem to be way too light to me to be Rhode Island Reds. Thoughts??

It is more likely that they are Rhode Island Whites, as the red ones are red.

I guess there is a lot of misinformation out there, as I checked out RIW and saw pictures of white chickens with single combs listed as RIW. Good to know that they only come in rosecomb, makes it easier to tell the breed apart from other white breeds.

Some white hybrids are called Lilac Belles and Sapphire Stars.
There are also

White Plymouth Rock Chickens. Rhode Islands that are called red are RED not white. Google images until you find the kind that mostly resembles yours and you may find the name.​

These are not RIR, your right on that. They are also not RIW as they only come in rose combs. They could be a few different breeds. You'll have to wait a few more weeks and the re-post with new pictures.
