Are these rirs?

I'm beginning to think these are not really rir. My mom got them as chciks from tsc last year. There are two darker ones and two lighter ones. She thought they were labled rir but a lot of ppl have said they look like red star? What do you think?? Thanks!!

Really? I think those are RIR.

the ones with white tails are red sexlinks, and the one with a black tail is a production red (hatchery hybrid red layer). RIRs are a dark, amlost black, red color.

They likely have RIR blood in them, but they are all mixes. The ones with white feathers under the reddish coat likely a red sex link type bird. The orangish one with dark feathers in the tail is what is known as a production red. The PR is a red bird based on the RIR or New Hampshire, but also has other "ingredients" to help boost egg production.

For certain? They were made to be layers, that's for certain!!!!

TSC often has a bin called Assorted Red Pullets.
