I purchased these gems from TSC around 7 weeks ago and thought I got lucky with all females out of my chicks and ducks but recently noticed some differences:
(The barred rocks and ameraucanas were from pullet only barrels-I know this is not 100%)
My barred rocks have all differed in coloration as they grew. One has been very pronounced in contrast and is now the only one with a more pronounced comb. At first thought it was maybe older as there was one that seemed to be a little older than the others as far as development went.
My ameraucanas however have all been similar until today I noticed one has a more red coloration and black along its neck.
Ironically, I think my randoms (non sexed) chicks are all hens. 2 golden lace Wyandotte’s and a blue Cochin bantam.
Am I right about them being roos?
