Are these rose combs?

*i think* cinnamon Queens are mixes between a RIR (single comb) and a wyandotte (rose comb).
Cinnamon queens are a road island white mixed with a road island red, the white is the dominant breed giving them white under feathers and brown/red/orange over feathers… cinnamon queens were one of my first mixed chickens so I know a bit about them

They’re definitely pretty but definitely not CQs, I mean this is an old thread so you likely already know that… but cinnamon queens have white under feathers-top feathers and brown/orange/red top feathers, they don’t have black unless they’re mixed with another thing, cinnamon queens are RIR RIW mixes so to get black it’d need another breed, mine is a RIR RIW with some sort of barred mix and she’s a dark orange with some black rimmed feathers.

Either way those chicks are so gorgeous… don’t think I’ve seen that shade of brown on a chicken before

Different hatcheries can have different recipes for their Cinnamon Queens, they might not all look alike, which is the topic of the thread, which is from July. :]

Well no matter what they are, they’re loved, here’s updated pics. Rose combs and all 🥰 I really am no good at chicken breeds and these ladies are my first, so I wouldn’t know a whole lot about CQs. Although I have read that there are 2 different mixes to make a CQ, each one from a different hatchery.
