I bought these yesterday at a swap. I was manning my booth so I had my friends go grab these guys (or gals) for me. They said the seller told them they were Royal Palms or mixes. Any way to tell this early? They were in with the 2-6 month old poults so I don't have an exact age either. Any clue on that?

They are getting along very well with the chickens already, as the seller said she free ranged them with hers, too. I love them already and it's been less than 24 hours!

I'm not sure if the tan on them is mud from the endless rain we've had, or if that's their feather color. I can't tell what they'd be mixed with...are there any other white based breeds that can look like that?

They are at least part royal palm. If there is black on the chest then you have boys. the girls are white chested. You can know for sure when the gobble.

yea royal palm mixes.

but I would be more concerned with them running with your RIR flock already

i would say maybe 2 months old if they free range they may be like 10 weeks old but ours were much bigger then that by 10 weeks.i would say 8 weeks

They're Buckeyes. The seller had them running with her chickens, which is why I'm doing the same. The Buckeye is a generally friendly breed and had no issues when we added the Silkies or Polish either. I was guessing 8 weeks or so, but I wasn't sure.
