Are these self blue cochins? and what color silkie? friz or fraz

yes - that is why I was wondering - I have recently discovered that I have a blk hen carring the lav gene - gotta figure out which one she is, but I have recently gotten some lav babies from her.
Just curious if that had come from some of mine.

Is frazzle and frizzle different things? If so I hadn't heard of them! But it does look frizzled.

I've always heard that frazzle is when it gets a frizzle gene from both hen and roo and the feathers are brittle and break easy, also look kinda bald in places.. someone correct me if I'm wrong but thats what I'd always heard..

Ah well, learn something new everyday! I would say that yours is a frizzle, as it doesn't look as nasty as the 'frazzles' I have seen. There is a woman that goes to the local auction that breeds frizzle to frizzle, her birds that she brings to sell all look like they have seriously split ends!
