Hi all,
I found small, short, white LIVE moving worms that I think are tapeworms on some of the chicken droppings of my free ranging hens. Need advice on what to treat with...Ivermectin?? Egg production has been on the decline for awhile now, so I suspect this has been going on for some time. All my chickens are at least 4 months old ranging up to 1 1/2 yrs old. I would like to treat ASAP.
I also have dogs that eat the droppings of the chickens --- I know, SOOOO gross--- will need to worm them too I suppose?

Thank you. Have done a little research on the fenbendazole, but not sure how to use it. Hopefully I can put it in their water, any suggestions?

What you normally see with tapeworms is a short flat segment of the worm...this is ingested by the host animal and then it grows into a worm. Check to see for sure what you have before you treat them unnecessarily.
