Are they a mixed breed?

Our white Silkie female layed eggs about 3 weeks ago, and I have been checking her nest everyday after 2 weeks to see if the chicks have hatched out yet. Today when I went outside to feed them, I checked her nest and saw a few eggs shells next to her. As I lifted her to check, her chicks were black? She is white? We also have a Bantam Cockerel , do you think they bred together? Or are all Silkie chicks black? The chicks are fluffy and Silkie like but are black?

She must've ? I'm not sure. I wasn't with her when she layed them but they do look like Silkies.
