My bator has just spiked to 106 degrees. I went to bed and it was maintaining approx 99-100. When I woke up it was 106 this way day 18. Do you think they are okay? I hope I didn't kill the little babies.

ps I would try to candle, but can't seem to see anything through the blue shell. Today is day 19.

Lets hope not!!!

Thats such a bummer. I mean, since its 18/19 days now, I would just keep it running. It won't hurt. Better than just say oh well...they are all dead and give up.

I will pray with you!!!

This happened to a friend of mine once, but only, the temp was TOO low, not TOO high. Only 1/4 hatched in the end.

Best of LUCK FRIEND!

I had a spike to 108 for hours and all 14 hatched. At this point you just need to wait and see. I think they will be o.k. Good luck.

Too HOT is worse than Too COLD

Reason being, the embryo can @ least maintain some heat @ that age (19 day) but if it gets TOO hot, the chicky can't really keep cool so yeah...

Don't worry too much tough! G-LUCK!
