I got two polish hens quite by accident last fall. Right now, they are 8 months old, and no egg. They are not even ready yet. They also are a bit smaller than my other birds (with the crest they reach to my red star's chin). I got those guys under the impression that they were wyandottes. I have no idea how large they should be, or when they should be laying. Please help, the internet and other threads have not.
Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
