in my experience, sometimes if they are molting or if it is hot or a thunder storm, that will effect the laying. if all are occurring and them being so young, then you may have to wait a week or two more before you get any eggs.

Many feel hens actually do better with a rooster, assuming he is a gentleman, of course. Does not sound like yours is so bad, if the hen who doesn't want any can get away with beating him up. From what I've read, banties can usually take care of themselves just fine, thank you.

I'd say you just need a little more patience. Hard, I know.
