Are they playing or are they fighting at 2 weeks?

I have 8 two week old chicks and they seem to get rowdy and loud once in a while and kind of fly at or over each other. I can't figure out if this is how they play or if they are being aggressive towards each other. There is no pecking going on as far as I can see. None of them is getting hurt. It's kind of funny to watch them, but I'm curious to know if this is normal for them to do at this age or not.

It's normal. If they are indoors, think of them as young kids who have been cooped up in the house for too long and are feeling bored.

Wait a bit till they really start sorting out their pecking order. They will chest bump and stretch their necks further than you think possible.

They are doing that too RonC. I've been wondering if I may have some roosters :( They get all puffed up too when they act like this. It's quite entertaining. I'm glad to hear that it is normal behavior. I was starting to worry.
