Are they pullets or roos, 9 wk road island reds

There are two different chickens here of 8-9 weeks old. They are two day care chickens which I bought at tractor supply store. When I purchased them I was told they were going to be hens. When I returned to buy scratch I over heard one clerk saying they only bring in straight run. I would like to be sure they are going to be hens. But I'm not to sure since one seems to act like a roo. It seems to be floging the other one and seems to strut quite a bit and hold it's head high and it's just about a inch taller too. So what do you all think?

When my RIR were 8/9 weeks, their combs were much more prominent than yours. So I think yours are likely pullets.

I would almost bet a Franklin that they are pullets. No worries.

Whew.... so I'm probably safe... I was concerned about the ones behavior and feared I may have to find replacement look alike! I didn't want to have to get into city ordanances and roos sometime agressive behavior with a bunch of two year olds!
