Where did you get them?

The bad news is that there are very few sources for genuine Ameraucanas and that the majority of those sources almost always sell them as named color varieties for prices double or triple what you'd pay for common breeds.

The good news is that the Easter Eggers which are sold as "Americana" or some other variant name intended to deceive are almost always healthy, hardy, vigorous birds with good temperaments who lay an abundance of eggs.

I would not rule out an independent farm store having actual Ameraucanas under special conditions, but chicks from TSC are almost certainly Easter Eggers.

The good news being that they'll lay more eggs and larger eggs than if they were actual Ameraucanas. :)
