Are Turken chickens more prone to neck injuries?

I have 2 hens with torn neck skin. The 1st had her crop torn open about an inch long which luckily healed in about 2 1/2 weeks. The other, I discovered today, must have happened at least 1 week ago as her neck is slit open sideways and the inner flesh looks dry and there was no scab or blood present.
This is really disconcerting! I didn't expect chickens to be injured in such a way.
I just got chickens this past February so I'm very new to all this.

I should add these are all 7 mos old hens and are laying. I do have a Wyandotte rooster with a bent toe on each foot in with them. There are the 4 Turkens, 5 Easter Eggers, 2 Wyandotte hens, 2 Welsommers, 2 Buckeyes, 3 Cuckoo Marans, 2 Salmon Favorelles, 3 Speckled Sussex.

There are 23 chickens in an 8 x 12 coop with a small run attached that they can go into until they know where "home" is and return to roost at dusk. They will be able to free range in a large fenced area soon.

I can't say what is going on in the coop as I fell and broke my leg the day after we moved them into it, and have to rely on 2nd hand reports until I can get around again!🙁

How are they getting injured? By other chickens or chicken wire or stuff in their environment?

I have Turkens and other breeds and I don’t see them getting injured more or less than the others. I do notice it easier because they have no feathers on their neck, but with the ones with feathers I just see loss of feathers on their neck.

But nothing crazy.

Thank you, Hysop and BlueBaby for answering me. As you read my "edit", I can't really answer what is going on as I can't go there. I am wondering if it really is the rooster with his bent toes, as both wounds are on the same side of their neck. None of the other hens show any real damage except a few missing feathers on their back, according to my helper.

I have no idea, but you can't have a roo that would be causing that to the hen's if it is him that has done it. If you were closer by, I do have some extra Aloha boy's that I would let you choose from and let you have him for free. The rooster in my Avatar is an Aloha.
