Are we Cornish Rocks? *UPDATE PG 13*

Satisfied big sleepy babies enjoying the sunshine, that sounds cute.

I can picture them lounging with a leg stretched out all content.
It's good to hear that they were active and running around, LOL when mine were babies they were such lazy snugglebums and just cuddled and slept on my lap the whole time I had them out.
LOL I'm sure your babies will change their minds about grass when they realize its edible!

Finally got around to getting some pics of them basking in the sun. Here they are this fine Easter morning...

Bubba is a camera hog.

Is there any doubt that Bubba is a boy? I think not.

A close up of one of the pretty girls (Ethel? Maude? can't tell them apart.)

I keep thinking of what life could have been like for them and am just so glad that they're able to feel the sunshine and taste the earth, even if for a short while.

Forgot to say, they are 3 weeks & 5 days old now.

I've seen a couple of people post on here saying that the can turn into pretty birds, if you can get them past the first few months w/o them keeling over. And they are definately meaties, they look just like mine at 2 weeks 3 days. Maybe I should be restricting mine a bit more

I'm starting to think the smaller white ones may not be cornish x rock.... do you have better pics that show them a little better... I can tell that "bubba" is def a cross.

Maybe a couple of body pics standing next to bubba.... ( I just love chicken lingo! Where else can you get away with asking someone for more "body pics"

hm, I wasn't paying that close of attention, I thought the pics were of diff birds, but now that you mention it the "girls" do look smaller don't they. But they are older than mine are so maybe they are just more feathered. Did they go through the same half naked ugly stage the male is in right now? Cause all of mine look like him at 2 weeks 3 days

The girls are smaller than Bubba but not by much. They were kind of squatting in the pics above, and he was standing completely up. Body wise they are just like him, very meaty feeling, and their crops look like they've swallowed a golf ball after they've eaten. And they act just like he does when I feed them too, like they haven't eaten in 5 days!
My uncle told my mom that he would happily take my meat birds "off my hands"... now I'm feeling a little sad about the thought of it because all of these chicks are very sweet. I guess I could try to keep the girls, but Bubba is definitely going to have to go.

Do you have other pics? I really don't think a couple of those are meat birds. They featherd out way to fast. if you notice you can see pink spots on bubba... the others look like leghorns or even w.rocks?

Don't know but I have had broilers that are small like those and they turned out to be scrawny... might work out for you.
