Then, I'm betting the rooster is a hatchery Del with production red outcross, then crossed with Columbian Rock. In any case, no, they are not pure Delawares. Nice looking birds, though.

Grandpa really likes them. They are his favorites. I went back over to his house last night and traded two RIRs for the marans.

I'm still very interested in the delawares. Talked to a guy last night that had several a few years ago. Really like them.
