We really aren't supposed to take any home either but my boss is like me and hates waste. Our head cooks never make too much on purpose but it's hard this year to know how much to make. Because the last two years have been free for everyone, it's screwed up our counts

The school near me has more kids going this year then last and they are cramming 60-80 kids on buses. Flu seasons gonna be lovely rhis year

They were way down at first but picking back up now. I've been really trying hard to keep things on the menu i know they like to help participation. Added a salad bar too and thats getting me 8 to 10 more customers a day. Although that doesn't sound like a lot by the end of the week it's several more meals served. It Makes a difference when your a small school.

Very true. Our board of education wanted us to provide different options this year so we have to provide salad, egg salad or chicken salad, yogurt, and an italian sub on different days. These young kids have no idea which option to take

I would love to get all the extras they throw out to feed my birds lol because kids are wasteful i remember when i was in school a kid took a bite of a chicken leg and threw the rest out like ...urg
