Are Welsummer's eggs supposed to be this color?

Selecting for darker egg colors also can reduce the number of eggs produced per year, another thing to consider in selecting breeders. It's tricky! Breeding goals will vary, and it's hard to have perfection, especially when what's good for one aspect might not be so good in another way.

I'm a lil short on Welsummer eggs at the moment because I just shared with neighbors, but here are two from the same hen in 2 days. It shows a bit of the range of egg color I get. Sometimes they're darker, sometimes lighter.

I know these are Bryony's because my other girls are all light brown layers. I only have 7 layers, so it's easy to tell whose eggs are whose. Lol!
