This was my first hatch and the ease of use of the Oct. Eco 20 and the help and knowledge found on this sight insured that I will definitely do it many more times.
Thanks to all you fine people at BYC and Brinsea!!!

I made sure to get a photo with a full shot of the Beinsea product. I figured they'd like that.

I see you hatched in egg cartons. Any particular reason? How'd it work for you? For my first hatch I just removed the dividers and laid the eggs on their sides. I had 17/17 hatch, but am wondering about any differences when using egg cartons in the Brinsea.

I am also wondering how the eggs get turned if they are in egg cartons? My Brinsea Mini Advances turn the eggs every 45 min~if you have to open & turn them- then what about loss of humidity?

It looks like my incubator is not doing well. I just called Brinsea today. This is my 3th try with it but everytime at lockdown the chicks seem to die. Temperature is right, humidty is right and these are eggs from another breeder. The lady on the phone couldn't understanded it as well. So there might be a problem with the machine it self... Today is day 21 but no movement or sounds... she adviced me to wait for 12 hours and the candle them to see if they are a live. If not I need to return the machine to the shop where I bought it....

I am disapointed.

Two most likely culprits are the temperature is running low and chicks are not fully developing or humidity is high and the chicks are drowning when they attempt to internally pip. You need to open the eggs that don't hatch and find out what is going on.

VERY RARE for a Brinsea to be calibrated wrong but considering the thousands they sell it is bound to happen with a few. Be glad it is a Brinsea you bought. Many other incubators have no warranty or customer service.

I am so sorry you are having problems! I am someone who weighs my eggs daily and I don't use any water in the wells as a result. The natural humidity in my home is high, and I only use water at lockdown.
