I entered the April contest on the 1st but wanted to say that I just hatched out 13 of 15 BBS English Orpington eggs (part American). It was my second hatch and I uploaded the photos but need to read up on posting here...I did it before but forget!

LOVE the Brinsea...I'm starting my final hatch next week with BBS Jerseys. Anyone else??

the other eggs i had 2 internally pip but never made it past that point and the other 2 had died at some point after lockdown. not sure if i will give duck eggs another try as this is my second time trying and only 1 duck out of all the eggs. i have some jersey giant chicks hatching out next week so the little duckling will have some buddies soon. i had to hobble the little one because it was having trouble standing. its doing great now walking with its hobbles, will probably leave them on for another couple of days to make sure its going ok.

I have an ECO 20 incubator with an auto-turn cradle (which was da-bomb!!). I hatched in paper egg cartons.

My son, watching in amazement, while one of the eggs zips and hatches. He was cheering it on....and the chick is doing great. So far we have 6 chicks hatched, with 8 to go.

This is my entry for the April Hatch-a-long. I'm on cusp of April vs May so here's my entry...
