Are you a cake or pie person?

It depends on the cake. It depends on the pie. I try to maintain a healthy well balanced diet so if I'm going to eat dessert it better be pretty darn good. I also don't really crave sugar so a cheap pie or boxed cake are not even appetizing to me. I do love a good Italian lemon cream cake or apple pan dowdy though!

I prefer cake over pie, but I enjoy both. My favorite is Lemon Pound Cake and Coffee Cake. Pie wise, I like pecan, pumpkin, apple, and sweet potato.

I just made coffee cake yesterday it's my dad's favorite!

I keep meaning to try sweet potato pie and it just never quite makes the pie list for Thanksgiving. Instead we have butterscotch pie for the millionth time even though the thought of yet another butterscotch pie gives me this face: I love candied yams, though, and have heard sweet potato pie is a similar flavor. I've never heard of a butterscotch pie.

The sweet potato pie tastes similar to pumpkin, just sweeter.
