20% Dixie, a Duke of Yankeedom. Figures; I'm Cdn raised on the east coast, live in the Midwest, but my Dad grew up in NC. I guess I didn't inherit much..
Hmmm..... it says I'm 52% Dixie - and the closest I've ever been was to Columbia, MO by airplane. I've also been to El Paso, TX - but I don't think that counts. All of my ancestors for the last three generations were in Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Texas, and the Dakotas. Before that some were in Washington, Oregon, Colorado, and the Dakotas while others were in New England and Canada, and a few others were in the British Isles, Bessarabia, Danzig, and Odessa in the Ukraine.
Can someone give me a lead here? I don't think my Iroquois ancestors were from the Heart of Dixie - and neither were the Separatists (of Plymouth Rock, the place, not the bird fame), the Pietist Lutherans, or the Orangemen.
UPDATE: The advanced test says I'm only 28% Dixie, probably because it there are more items that differentiate those of us who are prairie, desert and year-around-snow mountain rednecks from the folks from down south.
