I am from Northern Wisconsin and have7 pullets that are 20 weeks old. No eggs yet. I know its JUST 20 weeks, but????? I have 2 buff O's, 2 Barred rocks, 2 white rocks and 1 red star. Could it be our climate, and light? We have their light on a timer that comes on at 4:00 am and goes off at 8:00 am.

Anyone else??????

I have an EE pullet that needs to lay first egg and a few older hens that need to start laying again. The other pullets have started resently to lay.

Come join us in the Wisconsin "Cheeseheads", in the 'Where are you' section. There are a few there waiting for first eggs.

P.s. I'm in Waupaca. Welcome.

welcome: instead of all the light in the morning try to split it. when you turn out the lightd in spring your birds will not even notice. and this year weather has slowed down eggs I'm waiting on my new pullets too

I know! Today is the worst! I live in Hayward, and it is raining/snowing here, and the girls are "cooped up!" They are all now doing the "squat" for me now, so I am hoping for eggs any day now.....

Trempeleau County, 3 eggs a day from 18 pullets aged 21 weeks.

They are getting there, but so slowly...

Mine are still out in the rainy pasture with tarp shelters. This weekend they go in winter quarters, but they will miss their pasture.
