They tried to fix both my parents too. The Catholic school said that since Jesus sits on the right side of God, the left was wrong. It didn't work, in either parent

Weird part is hubs was just in a non-denominational public school. I have no idea why they tried to "fix" it. And this was in the 70s in one of the largest cities in the US. Not that it should happen anywhere, but you wouldn't think it would happen where it did.

My Mom was a leftie and went to public school in the 50s, she was “fixed”

This made me LOL because it suddenly reminded me of my best friend when I was a little girl. She is left handed. I'm right handed. We would ALWAYS end up sitting next to each other and bumping elbows. Drove my mom crazy because we'd make a mess!
