Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

Yes and no. Yes because when i was a little girl my father had chickens and i would help to pluck and clean them up. Kids from within the community would also come and help.
No because it has been many many many years since I have had any chickens and it arose out of a need to be a somewhat self sufficient (to be fully sufficient is the goal) and earn a few extra dollars in the process.
