Are you suppose to give pigeons wormer?

Hey,I have been researching alot for the pigeons im getting in the spring but have been getting a little info on worming them.Is it true that you have to worm them?What kind of wormer and were can I get it?Any other meds im suppose to give them?Thanks

Check out Foy's pigeon supply, they have a list of items for all the meds you need

The best to use is a drop of Ivermectin cattle wormer down the throat.

Since Ivomectrin is so expensive, I use Wazine, which I find at Tractor Supply. It doesn't treat all the worms, unfortunately, but it does hit some of them. When I get the money, I would like to order something better.

All right thanks,I was reading this book and it said that I should keep a pair of pigeons in a seperate breeding box so they can raise there babies in it.Must I do this or can I just keep them in a normal loft with seperate nest bowls and such?

I raise them both ways. Some pairs do better in open lofts and some do better by there selfs.
