Here are two good ways to look at it:

1. You got the chickens and your paying for really expensive eggs.

2. You bought the chickens (the CHICKENS!) and they are giving you free eggs.

Get it? If not, feel free to comment below. :)

Our supermarket is limiting how many eggs one can buy. Whatever my hens' eggs have cost me, it has been worth it!!!!
:D

SAME!

Last time I was at the store, there were NO eggs left. I told one of the employees that I know: "I don't have to worry!"

lol

There is no such thing as free eggs. The costs of the coop among other thing needs to be taken into consideration. My birds aren't pets they are livestock. I do sell my eggs and it is enough to cover the costs for the feed. Many people have thought about making it a small business, get a few birds and sell the eggs. When you add up all of the costs you will probably never come out on top.

Farmers are dumping milk and eggs because most of the schools have been shut down and 10% goes to the schools and since the schools aren't in session right now no need for the milk and eggs. During regular times the farmers plan for this during summer vacations. They can only make so much powdered milk and eggs.
