I'm gearing up for hatching season and have been scratching the noggin. I'm trying to improve the quality of the eggs I'll be using for hatching. My egg quality is fine dont get me wrong but this got me thinkin about what others do this time of year to get there flocks laying eggs for hatching.
So im wondering if anyone does ANYTHING special this time of year with there laying breeders.
My thoughts were to simply switch my breeder girls from their "Layer Mash" to "Chick Starter/Grower" for two weeks prior to collecting eggs.

So if you do do something special this time of year just for "hatching" eggs please share.

Thanks

P.S. What is the deal with vinegar in the water???

I feed turkey feed all year round for my chickens, but I don't really do anything special before I hatch eggs. Just turn them 3 times a day until I have a good amount, which isn't alot this time of year :(
