Area around beak swollen, beak turning black, pictures

I helped with your previous thread last month. It could be a melanoma inside the beak, but would need to be confirmed with a necropsy and histology by your state vet pathologist. I would go back to your previous thread to post this, or make a new thread.

This is a different bird. That bird from last month ended up passing away shortly after. On that thread, I posted the response from the poultry vet on the likely cause. That looked like internal tumors or something in her reproductive/vent area. She didn't present this hard, black, dry... Necrosis?

But this seems like an altogether different thing...

Thank you! I think that looks very similar... My gut says this is cancer. Makes me very sad because I'm very attached to this old gal... I guess the best I can do is make her comfortable and enjoy whatever time we have left... And wait to see if the poultry vet ever responds.
