Aren't chickens the best?

Aren't chickens just the best? Give me at least 5 reasons why. Here are my reasons.

1.They peck at your toes
2.They run to the coop door when you are there
3.They make a good pet
4.They are cute
5.They let you know they love you by pooping on you

6.Can't wait for them to lay fresh eggs
7.Can't wait to eat their fresh eggs
8.Can't wait to see them finish growing
9.They are the best
10.They attack anything shiny including cellphones, cameras, jewelry, and etc. (its cute and funny)

11.Its funny when they dig
12.Watching them get a worm and when the others chase after the chick with the worm
13.Their fuzzy butts
14.Watching them drink and gulp, drink and gulp, repeat, repeat, repeat!


and I could go on forever, but what about you?

1. I love holding them
2.Love when they eat out of my hand
3. Love when they run up to me like im the Mother Hen.
4. When they follow me around
5. Because they are so cute!

1) The look ridiculous when they run and it makes me laugh.
2) They put themselves to bed no fuss.
3) They eat the leftovers and turn them into eggs unlike other pets which eat leftovers, get fat, and crap more.
4)Their bedding makes great compost
5)When they're young they change virtually every day

1 When they are little Fuzzy Butts.
2 The Peep Peep sound they make as babies.
3 Watching them chase & catch a bug, and then watching all the other chicks chase the one who caught it.
4 When they hop onto your lap.
5 Watching them take a Dust Bath.
6 Having them line up at the fence to see if you brought them a treat.

I am a first time chicken Mommy, and just love them. I love just to sit in the run with them and just watch them roam around.
I have a 5 & 3 year old daughters, and all they want to do is play with the chicks. They are very gentle with them & get the biggest giggles when one of the chicks flies on top of their head.

4. Who they play "chicken keep-a-way"
5. The way my child and chicken play together
6. Good insect control patrol
7. my morning alarm and morning egg
8. the way they try to show you who is boss

1. Watching them run around like lunatics chasing after the one chick that snagged some lettuce leaf... even though there's an entire treat ball with more lettuce hanging right there.
2. Even my mom, who Does Not Like Animals and cringes whenever relatives show off their dogs and cats, think they're adorable.
3. Little baby chicks practicing stink-eye are hilarious.
4. They eat bugs!
5. They still manage to be cute even in that awkward gangly dinosaur phase. (And it makes their juvenile stink-eye even funnier.)
