Argggggggggggg, want to order welsh harlequin's that are standard size

I have a small back yard and my flock of 5 does fine. The WH are not really that much bigger than my runner. I also had khakis for a while. They will also work well for a small yard. The only big difference for me was khakis wont go broody, welsh harlequins will.

Yeah, the difference between Campbells and WH is really not that huge. One to one and a half pounds in a large breed duck is not that significant. If you want something much smaller, the bantam breeds might be a good option. Snowy Mallards and Silver Bantams (Mini Appleyards) look very similar to WH and are about half to a third the size.

thanks city chicker, I have two black east indies (just got em last year) but I don't think they're layers. Too many options, maybe I'll get both WH and KC's and see how they turn out, I could always sell some if they don't fit my needs. I have a large garden which my bantam chickens free range in , they are not destructive at all (unlike my big girls). I'm so lucky that I'm able to free range my girls.

Thanks, didn't know that about the KC's and I would prefer that. I would also like to raise duck for the table and I've read that the WH are good for that.
