I am getting really frustrated! I do some contract work for a local company a few times a year. I have been doing this same work for them for several years now but they just gave me some data entry stuff to do in addition to my normal duties. I have had trouble before with my supervisor not getting my emails. She would continually ask me for things I had already sent. We finally figured out that for some reason, much of my email was going to her spam box. It is hard to get ahold of her on her work phone so I often call her cell. I try not to do that unless I need to get ahold of her immediately though.
She called earlier today and left me a message asking how the data entry is going. I called her work number and left her a message back saying that it was going fine and should be done by the end of the week. Then a couple hours later, I get an email from her asking for an update on the data entry again.
This happens a lot and I always seem to be having to repeat myself either on the phone or through email. I hate that to her, it must seem sometimes that I am not responding in a timely manner when in fact it's just that she isn't getting my messages for one reason or another. I always let her know either by resending the email with the original time stamp or emailing her back that I did call and leave a message at a certain time, but it is getting extremely frustrating for me!
