Arghh! Hardware store has guinea keets!

Bought a dozen for grasshopper control in the garden. Coyote/dog grabbed 6 the 2nd night we had them as they slept too close to the fence. We didn't clip wings and as they grew they all roosted on the kids swing set ignoring the trees. Owl picked them off 1 by 1. Less than 2 months - all gone.
If they are the pearl type, white with dark spots they glow in the moonlight so predators can find them easyily.
They are very loud and alert on anything. Like having angry roosters full time.

great news! today i had to go the dollar store to get my cats some birthday presents (today is there 2nd birthday!) and i drove back by the hardware store on the way home and the sign outside said "Deer food plot seed" instead of "baby guineas and ducks" so i didnt feel the need to go in and buy a buttload of guineas. i took the sign as a ...um...sign.
