Arghhhh!!!! I want eggs!!!

Well my bobwhites turned 21 weeks old on Sunday! When can I be expecting eggs and what can I do to make them lay. Should I make mini nesting boxes or will they just lay all over. I have 9 quail, will they try to eat the eggs?



Also will chick sized grit be ok for my adult quail?

I've read that anywhere from 21-24 weeks is when bobwhites start laying. That's a long time! As long as a chicken!

what's annoyingtoo is if your bw are outside and not under artificial heat once they do start up they may only lay until october and stop for the season.
