Yes, because we have to sign that we won't be anywhere that birds are including feed stores, fairs, livestock auctions, etc. This includes any houses with pet birds such as parrots, parakeets, etc. I will have to wait until I am past retirement age before I can get back into them or change jobs. Since it would be impossible to find a job between now and Sunday...Feeling bad about your news. I can understand why your company would make this decesion but it's so hard to let go of something that becomes part of you.
Maybe you could co-opt with someone in you area. Kinda the same as now from the company's view through
Shhhh.
Stealth camo coop with an underground run. And a moat.

I live in Vermont .... Our arctic weather is over - we were in the 50's where I am today - and it should never drop back down this year - so they will be able to ease into the next winter slowly.
I hate your employer can't let you do some sort of dis-infective method to and from work - seems a simple solution could be figured out and for a very small cost.
Although mine are chickens (outside and free range when I am home) ... I do have an injured roo in my house now in a double box recouping as he dislocated his leg jumping off the roost - treating him like a pet for now because he is the son of my favorite hen who passed away ... that is how much I care (because I hate the shavings all over !) He will be going back out in a special pen as soon as the nights are consistently in the 40's. He is a welsummer roo. My flock is mixed brown egg layers ... and then I wanted a flock of blues
I'm not even sure how many AB's you have - and do you only have the one roo ? Nothing like being settled for a week and then off again ! But I would love an unrelated roo for the hen I have here - I assume she and my roo are sibliings - though they could be mixed a little more ....
