Army Veteran looking for battery hens!

Both myself and my husband are Army Veterans. We are looking to start our own homestead. We want to rescue battery hens to start with, then maybe move into rare breeds.
At this time we are located in central Texas area ( Killeen), looking to buy acrage for our homestead. We want to find a way to rescue battery hens!!
