I found out when we got our chicks that I am now allergic to chickens.

Good thing they go outside for good in about a week!

May not be the chickens, may be the bedding you are using. I am allergic to the pine shaving dust, you can't see it but it gets everywhere as they run around.

I was using soil as their bedding so I doubt it was that.

Its okay though--they are outside now!

So cute to see them running around happily, lol. Gotta be better than an old brooder any day!

Oh, that's too bad! You will never be able to really enjoy holding a chicken closely and sniffing its feathers! I love their scent.

My 17 yo niece is allergic to feathers. Found out after she got a bird, I did not know this till this year. I thought she just didn't like my chicks!LOL
