this was going to be a noodle poodle, but I like the sketch without the noodles better.

I haven't been posting many pictures mostly cause I've been doing tracing type work, to try to improve and I dont want to post stuff here that i didn't do completely by hand.

here's another I've done by hand with many reference pics

I like them.
I had trouble making Sam not look like a man. I had to reference with pictures of men and avoid making high cheekbones, or thin face, or sharp nose or sharp chin or long legs. And the lips were hard.
You never notice that until you draw someone boyish.

All my men look like him though cause I'm bad at them.

Boys lips are hard. I usually just draw a line. I do think the picture i made looked a bit too adult compared to what i was going for.

It actually turned out to not be a scribble and the humanoid figure turned out well. The foot looks funny, but I don't care.

Don't pay attention to how he looks, but what he is doing.
