Uhhh... You gotta put that in during sketch. You downgrade when you lineart, so whatever you don't have in your sketch, you can't have in your final lineart.

My sketch always looks so wow, then when I do the lineart... it just turns out so crappy. ;--;

Sometimes I put stoof into a sketch that I can't fit into the line art because it is too small. Recommended canvas size?

IMO:
The best canvas sizes are usually 1500 × 1500, 2000 × 2000, 1500 × 2000. But, really, it depends on what it's for. Sometimes, if you're just doing a smol doodle, you can change it to about 500 x 500 before the quality really starts to go downhill.
For the overall sketch, draw with a big brush (over 20px, if you have a large canvas); that'll help you with sizing. Then, for the lineart, keep it below 20px (and correction above 10), and you'll be able to add in your little details. :3
